What state and car? Even california only costs like $200, and it's uberdouchey about it's car regs.

It would probably help if I mentioned it's Nevada. Instead of just paying taxes on your car when you buy it, they charge you yearly taxes on your car, as if it were land, or a house. My car is a Vette, so it costs more in proportion to the car. A friend who has a Camry "only" paid $300 for hers.
